Seamless Service in the Blink of an Eye
Nationale-Nederlanden is one of the largest insurance and asset management companies in the Netherlands, with more than 6 million private and business customers. Nationale-Nederlanden is part of NN Group, an international financial services provider active in 20 countries and acting as a leader in many European countries, as well as Japan.
Improving the services provided by Nationale-Nederlanden to its customers by implementing various features in the portal and supporting its speed and quality increase.
As part of Nationale-Nederlanden’s pensions and business unit, the initial assignment was two-fold. Firstly, Harijs focused on implementing a CSV processing tool that allows specifying custom validation rules for bulk upload processes. Secondly, he moved on to set up a delegation tool that links advisors to businesses, which allows the former to manage businesses’ data on their behalf.
Our colleague and Full-Stack Engineer, Harijs Deksnis, started working as a Senior Frontend Developer and DevOps Engineer at Nationale-Nederlanden in November 2019. Since the very beginning, Harijs has been tasked with implementing a lot of features in the portal, allowing business clients and advisors to oversee and manage employee insurance data.
There has similarly been a lot of focus on technical improvements – such as migrating to TypeScript and transforming the application to an actual Single Page app.
